PARK AND POOL MANAGER $25.00 per hour
The Borough of Fountain Hill is seeking a dedicated and experienced Recreation Manager to oversee and manage the Summer Recreation Program at Stanley Avenue Park and pool operations located on Speigle Street. This position is responsible for planning, staffing, coordinating, and supervising all summer park programming and aquatic operations to ensure a safe, engaging, and well-organized experience for the community.
The Recreation Manager works approximately 30–40 hours per week during the summer season and reports directly to the Borough Manager.
LIFEGUARD $18.00 per hour
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to all emergencies in all depths of water at the facility; prevent drowning and other injuries from occurring at the aquatic facility.
- Minimum 15 years of age
- Maintain current, valid certification in and/or the ability to pass all of the following:
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding
- American Red Cross First Aid
- American Red Cross CPR&AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Additional certifications required by local or state laws
- Successful completion of pre-employment lifeguard knowledge and skills check
- Successful completion of background checks: current Act 34, 151, and 114 FBI clearances
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening
POOL CASHIER – $12.00 per hour
Responsible for handling all transactions at the front entrance and/or concession stand and interacting with the public at the Borough of Fountain Hill pool. Quality customer service is a significant portion of this position, requiring a positive and friendly attitude towards all patrons.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 15 years of age
- Successful completion of background checks: current Act 34, 151, and 114 FBI clearances
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level.
- Cashier and customer service experience, preferred.
- Must maintain a positive attitude and a clean, neat appearance
RECREATION ASSISTANT – $15.00 per hour
The Recreation Assistant is responsible for following the direction of the Recreation Coordinator in the execution of day-to-day operations of recreation programs for community members of all ages and abilities in the Fountain Hill Park system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 15 years of age
- Experience in managing recreational activities in a municipal, scholastic, institutional, or similar setting.
- Frequent walking, standing, reaching, sitting, and bending.
- Successful completion of background checks: current Act 34, 151, and 114 FBI clearances
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening
- American Red Cross CPR&AEDe
