Recreation Department

	On September 4, 2007, Borough Council and Mayor and invited guests gathered at the Fountain Hill Playground to hold a Ceremony to dedicate a playground bench to Ferdinand “Freddy” Szvetecz, a long standing and dedicate resident of the Borough. Freddy was one of the original member of the Fountain Hill Pool Citizens Committee formed in the late 1950’s responsible for fundraising activities to build a pool. Joining Council were: From Right to Left: Ryan, Grandson, Gerie, Daughter, Marcene, Granddaughter, Freddy’s widower, Betty, Isabel, Granddaughter, Alyse, Granddaughter, Betsey, Daughter, Michael, Son.
