Permits

The Borough opted to enforce the newly adopted State Uniformed Construction Code.

Our Code Enforcement Officer, Joseph Gatta, is available to assist you with any questions of what permits are required. You may contact Mr. Gatta at 610-867-5124 with any questions between the hours of 10:00 am to Noon and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Apartments and multi family dwellings are required to notify the Borough when a unit becomes vacant. A rental inspection is required.

Need a dumpster outside your home? An application fee of $35 is required. The permit is valid for a period of 30 days, that can be extend upon filing a new application. A hold harmless agreement is also required.

MOVING PERMITS
If you plan to move out, in or within the Borough, a Moving Permit is required. You may call the Borough at 610-867-0301 to obtain one or stop by the office at Borough Hall, 941 Long Street. The cost is $10. The Police Department also can issue you one. If you need to reserve a parking space for your van when you move, you can also request signs to reserve the space. The information provided with the Moving Permit helps the Borough keep track of where to send your taxes and sewer/garbage bills.
