Snow Removal Ordinance

Residents Please Take Note

Ord. 424, 3/7/1988; as amended by Ord. 756, 6/7/201

It shall henceforth be unlawful for any owner, occupant or user of premises located in the Borough of Fountain Hill aforesaid to suffer or permit snow or ice to remain upon the pavements or sidewalks for a longer period of time than 10 hours after the snow shall have ceased to fall or the ice to form

The Borough has an ordinance dealing with obstruction of sidewalks [Chapter 21, Part 5] which requires property owners to remove snow and ice from pavements and sidewalks within 10 hours after any snow, and prohibits persons from throwing snow upon any street, highway or alleyway that already had snow removed by the Public Works Department. Copies of that ordinance are at Borough Hall for review by residents.
