Fountain Hill Response to Coronavirus
Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and Governor Wolf's recent declaration of an emergency, the Fountain Hill Borough Administrative office will be CLOSED to the public for two weeks, effective immediately, through March 27, 2020.

Police - First Monday starting at 5:45 p.m.
Finance, Public Works, Personnel, House & Ordinance - First Wednesday of each month starting at 5:30 p.m.
Fire, Health & Sanitation, Recreation - Third Wednesday of each month starting at 5:30 p.m.
In keeping with Governor Wolf 's recent declaration of emergency regarding Coronvirus, State Representative Jeanne McNeil's satellite office hours (located inside Fountain Hill Borough Hall ) every Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. will be cancelled until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The safety of our residents is our top priority with the current situation.

DECLARATION OF DISASTER EMERGENCY

DECLARATION OF DISASTER EMERGENCY
March 20, 2020
WHEREAS, the transmission of a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been recognized as a pandemic, and has caused or threatens to cause injury, damage and suffering to the persons and property of the Borough of Fountain Hill, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid pandemic has endangered the health, safety and welfare of a substantial number of persons residing in the Borough of Fountain Hill, and threatens to create problems greater in scope than the Borough may be able to resolve; and
WHEREAS, emergency management measures are required to reduce the severity of this disaster and to protect the health, safety and welfare of affected residents in the Borough; and
WHEREAS, on March 6, 2020, the Governor of Pennsylvania issued a proclamation of disaster emergency throughout the Commonwealth as a result of the transmission of COVID-19, which urged the governing bodies and executive officers of all political subdivisions affected by the emergency to act as necessary to meet the current exigencies as legally authorized under the Governor’s proclamation; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, as Mayor of the Borough of Fountain Hill, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, being duly authorized by Borough Council pursuant to the provisions of Section 7501 of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Services Code, as amended, 35 P.S. §7501, do hereby declare the existence of a disaster emergency in the Borough of Fountain Hill;
FURTHER, I direct the Borough Emergency Management Coordinator to coordinate the activities of the emergency response, to take all appropriate action needed to alleviate the effects of this disaster, to aid in the restoration of essential public services, and to take any other emergency response action deemed necessary to respond to this emergency; and
STILL FURTHER, I authorize officials of the Borough of Fountain Hill to act as necessary to meet the current exigencies of this emergency, namely: by the employment of temporary workers, by the rental of equipment, by the purchase of supplies and materials, and by entering into such contracts and agreements for the performance of public work as may be required to meet the emergency, all without regard to those time-consuming procedures and formalities normally prescribed by law, mandatory constitutional requirements excepted
This Declaration shall take effect immediately and continue for a period of fourteen (14) days.
