FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Borough of Fountain Hill Upgrades Its Web Presence FOUNTAIN HILL, PA – Fountain Hill took a big step toward the future this week when the Borough rolled out its new website, www.fountainhill.org. Although the borough had a web presence for years, the new expanded site offers citizens access to up to date information such as a recycling calendar, borough council agendas and minutes, recreation information, ordinances and tax information to name a few. “Information is a service that the Borough needs to provide to its residents. It’s as important as any other service the Borough offers and I’m glad to see that Council took the initiative to upgrade this vital service ”, said Borough of Fountain Hill Mayor, Stephen Repasch. The new site also contains an events calendar featuring meetings for council, boards and commissions as well as local events such as the Firemen’s Parade and Arbor Day celebration. Lawrence Rapp, Council President said that, “the website adds a medium for Council to instantaneously post information and notify its residents on important issues.” According to Randy Soriano, Executive Secretary/Treasurer, “visitors and most importantly residents, will have at their disposal a useful tool to gain knowledge and familiarize themselves with the Borough, which they can access at their convenience”. Since being able to interact with the borough staff members is important, the website features a comprehensive telephone and email address directory. For website visitors that want to know about Fountain Hill’s past there is a section of the site written by local historian Edward Redding that not only contains historical facts about the borough but pictures from his personal library. In addition, the website also contains an online edition of the Borough Newsletter, press releases, departmental web pages, community links and maps. In the future the site will also contain updated ordinances as new bills are passed. The website was developed by Dawn Anderson and the staff at the Graphix Factory Inc., who worked closely with Soriano to develop the new web presence for the borough. ###
