Apartments and multi family dwellings are required to notify the Borough when a unit becomes vacant.
You must fill out a ROAD OCCUPANCY PERMIT application a minimum of 7 (seven) days prior to having a dumpster placed. A dumpster or storage pod cannot be placed without a permit. A fee of $35 is required when the permit is issued. The permit is valid for a period of up to 30 (thirty) days. The time can be extended upon

Required for pools, new construction, and additions, or alterations extending the exterior of existing structures. All plans for the construction of new houses and/or commercial structures, as well as, new additions to houses or commercial structures that require a footing, must be approved by the Building Inspector before a building permit will be issued.
Inspections will be performed when deemed applicable and at:
- footing, before pouring
- insulation and fire seal
- final, before the issuance of an occupancy permit

ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL PERMITS
New construction & repairs
New construction & repairs. Inspections required: rough & final.
Examples of zoning permits that are required would be for sheds, fences, patios, grading, retaining walls, construction of a new driveway or alteration of an existing driveway, signs, etc.
WATER & SEWAGE PERMITS
Required for the installation of a new water service or sewage connection and for the repair or enlargement of an existing system.
Required when moving into, out of, or within Fountain Hill Borough.
Required when occupying a residential rental dwelling or business.
§ 401. Inspections Required. [Ord. 637, 1/3/2000, § 401]
1. All residential rental properties shall be inspected to assure compliance with
the minimum maintenance requirements and standards for such properties
set forth in this Part. Such inspection shall occur each time the property
changes ownership or tenants; provided, however, that no inspection shall be
required within one year of the issuance of a certificate of occupancy
